Google Shopping

Free Google product listings are coming to an end

Well that tie is nearly upon us. No more free product placement within Google Shopping. From June we will all have to pay if we want to be seen in this way.

It's a shame but it was always on the cards. Google say it allows true retailers to sell to targeted buyers and will benefit everyone, I'm not so sure to be honest.

As they say "Nothing in life is free" It's a shame as many smaller business simply will not be able to afford the CPC rate therefore will not be included. How does this benefit them or indeed us, the shopper looking for the best price from the best possible source?. Answer: It doesn't!

I suggest you make sure your marketing is up to scratch and that your organic listings are as good as they can be.

There are many price comparison shopping sites that offer a CPA rate which in simple terms means you only pay them a commission when a customer actually buys. This is a great option, far less risky.
