Do you have a Unique Selling Point?
If you are competing in an already over populated market place you will need a unique selling point. Basically something that sets you apart from the herd. You may not have thought about this so get thinking! I cannot stress enough how important this is if there is a lot of competition for your particular service or product.
If you are able to come in with a lower price point then fantastic but if you are a small business then that is pretty impossible when you are competing with the big boys with very big budgets.
Is there a market for your product or service? this may sound like such a basic question but it really is worth asking yourself 'Will people want to buy what I am selling?' The best answer to your question will come from you, 'Would you want to buy it?' and as a potential buyer what would tempt you to buy? These are two very important questions all prospective business owners should be asking themselves.
