My name is Rachel and I own an online retail business. I started trading in 2005 after 2 years spent marketing websites for other people.
I work in the fashion industry which is a very competative market. I am constantly marketing my business. I never get complacent, as soon as I do my business will suffer.
I retain first page keyphrase positions on Google, Yahoo and Bing to name but a few. This takes work!
I would say that it took a good 2 years for my business to begin making what I call real money. I was realistic and knew that if I continued to put in the work I would eventually reap the rewards.
I won't say it's been a doddle because it most definately has not and sometimes, especially in the current climate it has been a struggle. But I keep on keeping on and I manage to maintain a good chore customer base.
